Strike ground handlers Heathrow tomorrow

Extra staff are being drafted in at Heathrow tomorrow to cope with a 24-hour ground handlers strike. The airport said it was bringing in extra 'passenger ambassadors' to help minimise any disruption or confusion for passengers.

But despite the contingency plans, Heathrow is still urging passengers to allow extra time to travel through the airport.

The strike will run from 00.01 for 24 hours, affecting both departing and arriving flights. Flight check-in will also be hit.
