More sustainable travel through CO₂ offsetting

Unfortunately, every form of travel emits CO₂. For the time being, the only way to neutralize the negative impact on the climate is CO₂ offsetting. UNIGLOBE works together with Greentripper to offer trips that make such CO₂ offsetting possible.

Greentripper, an initiative of CO2logic

Greentripper was founded by CO2logic, a company with more than 12 years of experience in the assessment and development of climate projects in cooperation with local NGOs.

CO2logic was the first organisation in Belgium, and one of the founders in Europe, to offer their customers CO₂ neutrality by calculating, reducing and offsetting CO₂.

The aim is to reduce the impact of travel on the climate through a certified CO₂ offsetting system.

How does CO2 offsetting work?

You offset by making a financial contribution to a CO₂ reduction project in developing countries. With your contribution, a CO₂ reduction is achieved in that project, equal to the CO₂ emissions of your trip. Without your contribution, this reduction would not take place.

By offsetting the CO₂ emissions of your trip, you give families in developing countries access to energy-saving solutions, renewable energy sources and, more importantly, a better future, thanks to socio-economic and sustainable development with low CO₂ emissions.

The Ghana Cookstove Project

Conventional cooking methods using solid fuels on open fires or rudimentary cookers are inefficient, unhealthy and unsafe.

Their negative effects range from the extensive time and cost required to collect wood/charcoal to the negative effects on human health and the environment.
